The preferred candidate will provide leadership, management, and administrative support to this unique park. The preferred candidate will also oversee effective natural resource management, with a particular focus on the park's keystone species, the bobwhite quail.
Job Overview:
The role is critical for ensuring effective natural resource management, with a particular focus on the park's keystone species, the bobwhite quail.
Supervises a team of four full-time staff by providing leadership, work plans, and administering the performance management cycle.
Oversees the park¿s annual operating budget, park operations, and visitor services.
Collaborates with local business, officials, partners, and volunteers on community outreach initiatives to promote the park, strengthen community engagement, and support economic development.
Directs and implements natural resource management parkwide.
Participates in the implementation and coordination of policies and methods for park operations.
Studies, reviews, and enforces state policies and guidelines at the park level.
Required Experience:
Educational requirements include having a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Natural Resources, Forestry, Wildlife Biology, or a related field. The candidate is required to be a State Commissioned officer recognized by the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy or is willing to become commissioned.
